Grief and story-sharing resources
Dealing with loss, death, and grief is always painful, but COVID-19 and lockdown have meant we have to confront death, dying, illness and trauma in a more isolating and tragic way.
As the church, we have a key role to play as a wellspring of God’s hope, healing, and resilience.
Heartlines have created a What’s Your Story? resource called Grief and story-sharing to help church leaders as they support and care for their members and wider communities.
This resource is a guide for how you can use story-sharing in your church programmes to address grief and stress. It includes practical ideas on how to run story-sharing exercises in different areas of church and pastoral life.
As we share our stories, our hope is that our churches and communities will feel increasingly connected and cared for, and able to grieve and heal with the support of others, even in the midst of a pandemic.
